The Faraday Institution seeks to answer the question “What is the maximum opportunity for electric vehicle and battery cell production to be based in the UK by 2030 and 2040, and what actions need to be taken now, and by who, to ensure that this opportunity is captured?” This call for proposals is for projects designed to answer this, and produce an economic model to simulate demand in the UK’s main markets, supply in the UK, and the cost of battery manufacturing.
